CBSE Grade 10 Results to be declared by 20 July; Grade 12 by 31 July

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) announced yesterday that Grade 10 and 12 results will be declared by 20th July and 31th July respectively.

CBSE had earlier submitted its evaluation criertia for awarding marks, instead of the usual board exams, before the Supreme Court. Marks in best of the three from five papers in the term exams will be considered. Quoting Sanyam Bhardwaj, Examination Controller of CBSE : "Our efforts are that Class 10 CBSE results will be declared by July 20 and Class 12 results will be declared by July 31, so that students who want to go for study in a foreign country do not suffer."
The Examination Controller explained that the criterion has been developed in such a way that the result aptly reflects similar results a student would have obtained if the board exams had been conducted. It has also been assured if any student isn't satisifed with his result, he/she may appear for physical exams after the condition subsides and exams may be conducted.
Again quoting Sanyam Bhardwaj, "Our effort is to bring out the result as soon as possible. If any student is not satisifed with the exam result then the registration for the exam will start soon. And as soon as time is suitable we will try to allocate examination centers. With Covid-19 protocol in place we will try to conduct a physical examination. I want to assure the students that there is no need to worry. If a student thinks that his result can be like this, then he should note down his own belief and when the result is out, he can match the result and he will find that his result is better than his expectations. The students will not suffer any loss."
