As per Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Edit Pratap Singh, the charge has been captured and a post is on for two of his associates. 


Kitty Kumaramangalam, the spouse of late previous Union Minister Rangarajan Kumaramangalam, was killed in a burglary endeavor at her home in South West Delhi's Vasant Vihar on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 evening. The charge has been captured, police said.

Delegate Commissioner of Police (South West) Ingit Pratap Singh said that the charge has been distinguished as Raju (24), who was the casualty's washerman. 


Police said that the accused visited the house around 9 pm. When the homegrown assistance opened the entryway, she was overwhelmed and restricted in a room. Two men then, at that point entered and attacked Kitty following which the blamed covered her with a cushion. 


Mr. Singh said that folder cases were found opened at the wrongdoing spot. 


Police said Raju has been captured and a post is on for two of his accessories.


Manju told the police that she untied Kumaramangalam’s hands after the accused fled the scene. She called the neighbours for help and they informed the police.

The police have formed multiple teams to arrest the accused, Singh told the newspaper. “We have informed her [Kumaramangalam’s] son in Bengaluru,” he added.
