The Return of PUBG Mobile

PUBGM [PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Mobile] was the biggest mobile game in India. The game shot to fame, with over 200 million downloads in its glorious run in the nation, before being banned by the country's central government. The game was a blissful retreat for tennagers and adults alike during the lockdown phase. The playerbase consisted of over 400 million people worldwide with concurrent players reaching an unimaginable 50 million, far above any other game during the same time period.
Battlegrounds Mobile India has been the much-anticipated game ever since it was announced as a replacement to the now-banned PUBG Mobile in the country. The excitement grew further when its early access version made its entry just a day ago. The game was rumoured to go live on 18th June but to dismay, only its early access version got leaked. The Early Access was only meant for professionals and streamers but was leaked to general audience. BGMI now attained a new milestone as it has been downloaded 5 million times in just a single day.
To commomorate this, Battlegrounds Mobile is providing people with a new reward. Players can get the Classic Crate Coupon. This can be availed by heading to the Events section available on the game. You just need to scroll down a bit to find the ‘5M Downloads Gift,’ tapping on which will let you access it. This will be in addition to the already existing early access rewards such as a Supply Crate Coupon, 2x EXP Cards and 2x BP Cards. These can be claimed via the in-game mail.
A few updates to the game are summarised below:-
1. Just like the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile, called Game of Peace, Battlegrounds Mobile India also shows no blood while shooting neither does it show a pool of blood along with the dead body when an opponent is killed. Instead, the game showcases green hit points with green leaves flying around, and when an opponent dies, they simply disappear.
2.In case if you forget that Battlegrounds Mobile India is a virtual game, Krafton Inc has added an audio prompt that plays just before the game starts, stating that this is a virtual game and is not related to the real world. Also the game can only be played for a maximum of 3 hours for any minors , after which parents of the child will be informed via text or mail.
3.The gameplay management system prompts gamers to check their posture, surroundings and ensure not to get too immersed in the gameplay while starting the game. This has been introduced to help people stay aware of their environment while playing the game.
4.Battlegrounds Mobile India ensures that all characters while being created are fully clothed, which is in line with the government’s directive. However, some of you might notice while playing the game that not all characters are fully clothed. As of now, we do not know why this is happening, however, we expect the company to rectify this by the time the game is made available to everyone.
